Pennsville is ideally located at the eastern foot of the Delaware Memorial Bridge, with access to the New Jersey Turnpike (exit 1) and Interstate Highway 295. Centrally located, Pennsville is 12 miles from Wilmington, DE, 34 Miles from Philadelphia, PA, and only 63 miles from Atlantic City, NJ.
Pennsville was settled around 1640 by Swedish and Finnish immigrants and boasts many historical sites. Several early homes within the Township have been preserved as private residences, six of which are pre-revolutionary, being built between 1726 and 1775.
