The Pennsville Visiting Nurse Association is a non-profit organization founded by the Township of Pennsville for residents of Pennsville Township only.  They provide bedside nursing in the home with a physician’s order or with a transfer from another nursing organization.  Included are dressing changes, blood sugar monitoring, giving injections and preparing medications in medication boxes, to name a few.

The free Blood Pressure Clinic is held on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month from 10AM to 2PM.  Also, held the same day as the Blood Pressure Clinic are blood sugar and cholesterol screenings by appointment only.  A fee of $3.00 is required for the blood sugar screening and $10.00 for the cholesterol profile screening.

A loan closet is available for residents to borrow medical equipment for a minimal deposit.  There is also a Clothing Closet ope to Township residents.

For those in need in the Township, they supply food as needed or by referral on a monthly basis.  In addition, at Christmas and Thanksgiving, food baskets are available for those residents who qualify.

The Visiting Nurse Association Board Meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month (except for Summer recess in July and August) at 7:00 PM.  Residents may request becoming a member of the VNA Board.
