Title: A Resolution of the Township Committee of the Township of Pennsville Honoring the Top 3 Winners and those Who Received Honorable Mentions in the Penn Beach Elementary School “Keeping Your Community Clean” Calendar Contest
WHEREAS, the Township Committee of the Township of Pennsville (hereinafter referred to as Committee) prepares and disseminates a Township Calendar on a yearly basis; and
WHEREAS, this year the committee, based on the advice of one or more Township employees involved in the preparation of the calendar, authorized the “Keeping Your Community Clean Calendar Contest” to be sponsored by the New Jersey Clean Communities Council, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, with assistance of Mark Zoppina, the school principal, and the art teacher, Justine Adams, the Keeping Your Community Clean Contest was assigned as an art project to all 4th and 5th grade students at the Penn Beach Elementary School; and
WHEREAS, a total of approximately 200 students participated in the contest;
WHEREAS, the top three winners in order of rank were Jaida McCaffery, Jace Norton, and Adrianna Floyd; and
WHEREAS, Alexandria Weber, Livia Iocona, Na’cyer Jackson, Dakota Gant, Marissa Till, Matthew Chattin, Noah Clair, Emily Lyons, Katherine-Rose Hutton, Adalyn Turner, Sierra Stultz and Georgia Wilson received honorable mentions; and
WHEREAS, Jaida McCaffery’s 1st place picture will be featured on the Township’s calendar cover, with Jace Norton’s and Adrianna Floyd’s pictures being shown throughout the calendar, and with the names of the twelve honorable mentions listed in the calendar; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and members of the Township Committee of the Township of Pennsville have determined that is both fitting and proper to recognize all fifteen students for their participation in the project and to congratulate them for a job well done,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and members of the Township Committee of the Township of Pennsville that Jaida McCaffery, Jace Norton and Adrianna Floyd are hereby congratulated for their first through third place projects and Alexandria Weber, Livia Iocona, Na’cyer Jackson, Dakota Gant, Marissa Till, Matthew Chattin, Noah Clair, Emily Lyons, Katherine-Rose Hutton, Adalyn Turner, Sierra Stultz and Georgia Wilson are hereby commended for their participation and fine art work.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution shall be presented to the three winners and twelve honorable mentions by Mayor Richard D Barnhart at a regularly scheduled meeting of the Township Committee.
