Pursuant to NJ ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 1999-11 and the Township of Pennsville Municipal Code 16.6-3, the Township of Pennsville order mandatory water restrictions. All residents, visitors, businesses and government agencies must fully comply in a cooperative effort to limit water usage and avert the need for more restrictive measures.

Due to current drought conditions, Pennsville Township is implementing mandatory water use restrictions for the residents and businesses serviced by the Pennsville Township Water Department. The restrictions are as follows until further notice.

Water use restrictions include, but are not limited to, vehicle washing restrictions and even and odd lawn watering days. The washing of any vehicles is prohibited except for vehicle washing at commercial car washes and fire engines and Hazmat vehicles.

Even and odd lawn watering days shall be restricted to the following schedule and lawn watering is limited to 45 minutes per day, per service location.

On EVEN watering days, service connections located within the service area defined as “North” may water their lawns/properties. This area is defined as the service area of Pittsfield St and north of Pittsfield St to the northern boundaries of the Township, including Deepwater.

On ODD days, service connections located within the service area defined as “South” may water their lawns/properties. This service area is defined as the service connections south of Pittsfield St to the southern boundaries of the Township, to the Salem River, further detailed in the area division map.

Watering of vegetation is permitted on an even and odd basis, following the same location and duration schedule as defined previously.
